Any OPERS retiree, who retired from Warren County, will forfeit pension benefits and access to health care through OPERS for the entire period of service as an independent contractor.

OPERS retiree’s from an entity other than Warren County, cannot be hired as an independent contractor within the first two months of retirement. If they are hired and perform services during those first two months of retirement, they will forfeit pension benefits and access to health care through OPERS for the entire period of service as an independent contractor.
